One of the Bollywood’s best comic capers that has managed to carve for itself a cult status, Andaz Apna Apna is facing troubles with its animated 3D version. Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi who had directed the film was keen on the animated version. But the film’s producer Siddharth Jain told a leading daily that the 3D version of this comic flick has chances of getting shelved due to monetary crunch.
The film that was being made on 15 crores budget has been reportedly kept aside for the time being, citing reason that animation is still not so overwhelming popular in India and Indian animated films have limited business prospects. The film, that was 35% complete, also had Salman Khan agree on lending his voice for the film. However, the producers felt there was a lack of market for the animated version in India and hence, the project is shelved for now!
